Or will it continue to be the same old politics of corruption, abuse of power, and sending the nation even deeper into uncontrollable debt? With either of the two major parties in power, do you think our country can survive either one of them?

A crook is a crook, but if we don't keep voting out incumbents, we won't have a chance to ever get a congress that will work for legal Americans.

Unfortunately I don't think so. Washington has always been about politics, but now more so than ever. Our elected leaders seem to be in complete opposition to the will of the American people. Democracy is now sold to the highest bidder. The Democrats are making a play on morality and values because they know this more than anything is what people have been voting for, but does anyone really believe given past Democrat behavoir that it is anything more than lip service? This is not a defense of Republicans because I have serious questions about their morality as well. Personally, I do not see anything changing no matter which group is in power, but I also do not see the Democrats winning the Senate. The House is definitely in play though. Amother answerer spoke of a split in government. I think his conclusion is correct. Government does seem to function better when no one party controls everything.

We have survived for many many years with the parties intact..Once officials are elected we must unite behind them..no matter what as a Nation United..many chose to define the line between parties causing the breaking down of the system, this makes us a weak nation,& thats something we need to work on or we will surely fall in the future..
