The difference between nasty, and just plain humor !! Sometimes there is only a fine line beween these two. One could see this clearly in this Yahoo questions and answers. Speaking for myself, i like a little humor, as that is the type of person i am ! I would like to hear some comments on this

I think a good sense of humour iz the one where people joke around without bein nasty or hurt ppl .. like, the goofy type, ya know ? usually ppl with good senses of humour have simple personalitiez..
I duno, but that'z what i think.. PLUS, some ppl can find someone funny while otherz dont .. so itz about how "you" define the word "funny"..Good Question!

I find lots of things funny, but sometimes am laughing all alone (aww), whether thats because I have bad taste or not I don't know but I would say to qualify to have a good sense of humour you must be able to laugh at yourself.

Yes, I enjoy reading answers when the person is truly making a funny joke that's witty and intelligent, and clean for the most part. What I tire of and what irritates me are those who turn every benign question into a nasty sexual comment and think they're being funny. Actually they're being juvenile and disgusting! I love to laugh, but the raunchy sexual innuendos do not make me laugh. They make me tired! lol :)

What's humorous to you is totally personal. Some people, like me, find many, many things funny. I don't, however, think comments that cut people are funny.
And for some, that's the only thing that makes them laugh.

I'd say a good sense of humour is been able to see the funny side of things without causing offence to anyone else, been able to laugh at yourself too, never just laughing at everyone else because they are different and not offending people by poking fun at them.

That depends on the person interpretting the sense of humour, what makes someone laugh like hell could be found offensive or just not funny by someone else

Very subjective. Some like things corny, some enjoy mysery in others, some folks think being obnoxious and cruel is funny, some prefer whit and charm and word play. And some just like silliness. I personaly think humour at others expense is fairly low but that's just me.

Oh I agree, there is a very fine line, before you are on dangerous territory and start to offend people, I like to live on the edge of that line sometimes, if I'm feeling rather brave! lol
