Every time George Bush speaks he has a sneer on his face that seems about to break into a smirk. When he talks like this, it is as if his inner feeling is that the American people are so beneath him that he finds it funny that he should even have to respond to such low-lives. When he talks about the Middle East he has no real facts, only empty rhetoric that does not square with history and is so blatantly off track and wrong as to be painful embarrassing to watch. How bad do things have to become in Iraq before he stops saying how great everything is? He said major combat operations ended in Iraq three years ago, but it is getting more violent, not less. What is wrong with this man? Why does he sneer at the American people??

He has every right to sneer. He has managed to get himself two terms in office despite being utterly incompetent and screwing up almost everything he tries to do. He has to wonder just how it is that a man who drifted through life as a drunk, a drug addict and a failure in everything he tried to do managed to get the top job.

The real life equivalent would be showing up late for work, doing a crappy job, stealing from your employer, and getting a series of unwarranted promotions over and over again. The worse you do your job, the more they pay you. It's enough to make anyone smug.

"Every time George Bush speaks he has a sneer on his face that seems about to break into a smirk."...well-articulated observation!

I get the impression that he's even amazed at the bullkaka he's saying, and more so, getting away with!

Probably has something to do with the same reason he insults people who ask him questions instead of comming back at them with an intelligent and somewhat literate answer.
