I was really pulling for Junior to win and was on pins and needles the last few laps. The thing that bothers me is that Junior appeared to have a car that could pull away from them and maintain a good car length lead even though Vickers was pushing Johnson. I can't help but think that Junior put himself in jeopardy by slowing just enough to try to block the other two. He should have seen it coming and trusted the strength and speed of his car. He could have gone to the bottom going into the last corner taking the short way around. That would have left Johnson and Vickers on the top through the corner where Vickers wouldn't be able to push Johnson. I think Junior would have been able to come back up the track exiting the corner still in front of the other two. It is likely that Vickers would have tried to pass Johnson as they exited the corner and both would have lost the advantage of the draft between them, but it would have been too late because Junior would have had at least a car length lead. I'm guessing that Junior will take this lesson to heart.
I don't think Vickers intentionally wrecked Johnson. I don't think he has that much skill. I think it was an unfortunate accident.

Talladega, AL (October 7, 2006) -- While many drivers battling for a championship will focus on consistent finishes and conservative runs to ensure a solid points run, Frank Kimmel and his Pork Racing team went into the Food World 250 at the Talladega Superspeedway with only one goal and that was to win. Kimmel and the Tri-State Motorsports team had never won on a superspeedway and felt like they had put together the best possible combination in order to achieve that goal this weekend. While the 2006 ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship was still in on the team's mind, an emotional Kimmel could not believe that in his 321st career ARCA start, he had finally made it to victory lane at the Talladega Superspeedway.

He was taken out after Brian Vickers got into Jimmie Johnson. Brian hooked Jimmie as he made the pass for the win and Jimmie's car came around and hit Junior.

Junior did crash but he did finish on the lead lap.Brian Vickers won and most people are pointing the finge at him for causing the wreck. But as for me (I was there in a motorhome and the crash happened in front of us) I say Jimmie Johnson wiggled as he started the pass and when he tried to get back in Vickers was closer than he thought and they touched with J.J. hitting Junior.

A no-talent punk(Vickers), and his greed for a win (the Hendrick way) crashed out two of the Chasers, Junior and Johnson, on the last lap due to inexperience.

That became Jr's followers screaming at Vickers for blowing his opportunities to win. that could additionally be Jimmie Johnson's followers screaming at Vickers for spinning out his very own teammate and blowing his opportunities to win. Your premonition became on, i think of everybody became waiting for the great 'crash'. To undesirable Vickers did not get hit with a style of flying beer cans on the top. i'm useful it became an coincidence in spite of if it is a great coincidence which will come back to bite him interior the a**. they'll retaliate. You stay remote from the chase leaders you do not spin them out.

It was an accident. JJ is not taking any of the blame. Vickers did what any other teammate would have done.
