What's Hungry harpies.
According to Greek and Roman legends, harpies were the two goddesses of wind and rain.
Their names were Storm and Swift-Flying. They were sisters of Iris,the rainbow, who was often sent to Earth as a messenger by the gods.
Iris was gentle and beautiful, but the harpies were ugly and cruel. They were sent to punish people who had angered the gods. They swooped down from the sikes to snatch children, or any other food they could get their claws on.
They were always hungry, as their appetites could never be satisfied. Wherever they want, the harpies left behind a horrible smell.

Harpies are legendary creatures form the Greek and the Irish legends. A harpie is a winged creature that feeds upon human flesh and bone. Very scary these creatures are. It is said that a harpie can never be completely filled, oh well with a population of 6 billion people right now, I'm sure it could make a dent in its hunger.

Probably not what you're looking for, but this is from the Aeneid and the question made me think of it:
When from the mountain-tops, with hideous cry,
And clatt'ring wings, the hungry Harpies fly;
They snatch the meat, defiling all they find,
And, parting, leave a loathsome stench behind.
