Why "UK" only? Is there a difference between American driveways and UK driveways?

That'll be Paddy O'Reilly, currently working on the M5 and bound to have a load of tarmac left over. Will quote a very reasonable price, then treble it at least when he turns up to do the work. Oh and watch out for the coloured chippings he will offer to make the job look nicer when finished. Generally they are peppermints and will disappear after the first rain shower of any consequence. He may offer to spray the area to be tarmaced with weed killer at an extra price. I have never known coloured water to kill weeds, let alone anything else.

No I don't but do remember that you may have to have a dropped curve put in and make sure there are no signs or poles to be moved, try and ask your local council as they do a lot of dropped curves for people like yourself so they would probably know of a good trader or you could look round your neighbourhood and put notes through doors where new driveways have been put in and who they used.

Not to sure who can do driveways in Bristol, but be very careful the govenment will soon be intorducing a new addition to council tax which means you will have to pay extra for extended or gardens that were made in driveways, sheds and conservitories.

Isnt there a law that forbids reversing on to the highway? Check with your local authority or a local councillor. I believe that a drive way is only that with a dropped kerb. Maybe the local bobby could give advice about parking without a dropped kerb. But try the council, after all , thats what there for

Sorry I dont know any trades people, but just wanted to let you know that it wont "legally" be a driveway unless you contact the council and have the kerb dropped. It will be entirely legal for people to park in front of it, and block you in.
