I was just at the DMZ last weekend and the Southern guards said they saw little fires at night because the North Korean soldiers are so hungry they steal bird eggs under the cover of darkness. The soldiers at the DMZ are supposed to represent the sturdiest North Koreans, but they all looked starved. I would hate to see what the normal folk look like. Check out the DMZ online, pretty interesting place. There is a fake city near the border in North Korea to make it look like they are prosperous!

Very good question. It is quite possible that is what he is looking to do. If the people see the ones who join the military are doing better than what they can in normal life they will do the same. Especially the males with familys. He does fit the profile of what a mass murdering dictator would be. Though if his back door deals are stopped he will lose money making it harder for him to put money into arming himself. This is a real threat to the world unlike Iraq ever was.

Kim Jong II is a nut case pure and simple. He is starving his own people to put uniforms on soldiers and build nuclear capability. North Korea will have to either get rid of the weapons or China, Japan, and America will have to get rid of Kim Jong II. And it has to be done very soon.
