I wonder that myself, not watched a single episode of it yet and don't know if I will bother either as so many people say its confusing or rubbish, I can confuse myself without watching rubbish on TV.

It's bizarre, a leap of faith at best. A great ploy by the producers has been to create a sense in which, if you don't watch Lost and therefore aren't able to comment on what other people are talking about, then somehow you have missed out.

If someone at work says 'Oh, did you see the Simpsons last night', people who answer 'no' don't often feel inadequate. But the strange way Lost has been created (along with the speculation about the 'truth' behind the island etc.) which demands the viewer to watch every episode to get a decent level of understanding about the odd, odd things that are happening, creates a viewing cult from which outsiders are often excluded.

My personal opinion - it's not crap, but personally I don't think it's worth the effort - there's some pretty bad casting (heroin hobbits, anyone?!!!)

The avoidance of watching "Lost", means you have a lot of time on your hands to do far more important things. I hate shows which keep audiences watching simply because they scare everyone into thinking if you don't get it or don't care, you are somehow unintelligent.
I prefer to save my viewing time for programmes that have a point, whether drama, comedy or documentary. You're doing the right thing, it's crap!

I enjoy it very much but I wouldn't say that you're missing out on anything (apart from some intense conversations with friends). If you've lived this long without it then I wouldn't worry about it. Plus, people that have been watching it from the start are starting to show their frustration at at still not really knowing what the hell is going on.

No. Well yes you're missing a TV programme. I watched the first series, it was OK, but I couldn't get into the second series as there are so many new faces, and how are so many still alive after the initial crash? I'm LOST now.

NO you are just missing a load of crap!

How they can have a 3rd Series I do not know, the 1st Series was good, but then the 2nd Series was a waste of time and as for the 3rd one!

What can I say!

Nope, you are missing something. You need to watch it from the beginning though. I lost interest a bit towards the end of the second series but the first series is brill.

It's my favorite show!! There are so many different aspects to it that even if you don't like the scenes on the island there are the flashbacks to look forward to. If you do start watching ti i would recommend renting the first 2 seasons first.

Its rubbish. I tried to get into it from the very beginning but got 'lost' pretty quickley. Just when I think I am getting the gist of it, something happens and I get confused again. Dont waste your time trying lol, do something more worthwhile.

You're missing shouting at your computer in the vain hope that someone else won't ask the same bloody Lost question again and again.

Or maybe you're not.
