If that's what you want, then vote Democrat. As a matter of fact, I will go so far as to guarantee that there will NOT be another major terrorist attack on American soil as long as Bush is in office. Yes, I know that 9 /11 took place while Bush was in office, but he only had 8 months to work on the problem while Clinton had 8 years plus atleast 3 blown ( no pun intended ) opportunities to haul in bin Laden. Big difference. If you wish to dispute me on this issue, then email me and we will arrange to make a little wager. I'll bet none of you wimpy Dems / liberals will take me up on this. Note: Don't bother emailing me unless you are willing to place a bet and then follow through on that bet, or if you have no way for me to contact you once you have emailed me.

Btw, the only reason we're gonna get our asses kicked in November is because the majority of the American people can no longer see two inches past their worthless noses.

I want to see socialism eliminated permanently from this earth, it is evil in all of its slippery slope ways. We did not become what we are because of socialism and in fact it is what has held us back to even better things.

Do you want to end poverty? Eliminate socialism
Do you want to end famine? Eliminate socialism
Do you want to end cancer? Eliminate socialism
Do you want to end HIV? Use a condom or quit doing IV drugs

Were you aware that coronary disease is the #1 killer in the world and $1,800 per person with the disease is spent on research. The #2 killer in the world is cancer and the research per person is $2,500, but HIV which is not even in the top 50 of killers in the world, research is $250,000 per person with the disease, and what is even more amazing, HIV is preventable, cancer and coronary disease is not.

The insanity of these numbers is beyond belief. What has happened to this world?

Like most young people, you are confusing many ideologies. Any philosophy taken to an extreme is bad. We have lived with many social programs in the USA for decades. The free education you received in public school, Social Security, worker's protection, care of the elderly, and aid for the poor are all social programs that work well for us. Why you are condemning these programs in your statement is beyond me.
Also, you don't seem to be aware of the basic difference between conservatism and liberalism. Conservatism is all about control. It's the idea of an elite controlling the masses, making all the decisions for the people. Conservatism taken to the extreme is oppression. Liberalism is about individual direction. People make their own decisions in life on their own. Liberalism taken to the extreme is chaos.
There is value in both liberalism and converatism, but there are dangers in both as well. This country has survived because the opposing views of the Democratic party and the Republican party has kept a balance and prevented either side from marching the country too far left or right.
The present administration has taken the country too far right, and it's time to be drawn back to center. Your notion that the Democrats would weaken our national defense is just plain silly. Other than the Civil war, the present conflict we are in is the first time a Republican administration was in office at the outbreak of hostilities. The largest military buildup in history, WWII, was administered by Democrats. The fears you are stating in your question are completely unwarranted.

Me!!!! I cannot wait to return to the day when the interest rates were 21% and we had no military or respect in the world like during the Carter Administration. We also sowed the seeds of terrorism with our weak handling of the Iran hostage situation. Good thing the Democrats have embraced the architect of the hostage situation and are now inviting him to speak at US colleges.

Perhaps we could return to the Clinton years. We could have a president who among many public embarrassments gave nuclear technology to the Chinese at wholesale prices.

But what the heck France loved us right? I would rather have the world respect our might rather than love us for the goodies we can shovel at them. The fear of might lasts a lot longer.

How do you guarantee there won't be another terrorist attack while Bush is in office?

The dems don't want a "weak" defense either. We need a strong defense.

The Dems want a balanced budget, good schools, and good diplomacy. And no more endless wars like the war in Iraq.

There are several international problems that Bush has IGNORED, like North Korea.

Socialism is a farce, a panacea that looks great on paper, but has proven to be a failure in practice. The two great monoliths of marxism, the Soviet Union and China, both had to revert to capitalism to maintain their positions of international power and influence. For the Soviets, it was too late, and the communist Chinese are hanging on by a thread. It's really not helping the people of Cuba that much, either.

Socialism appeals mostly to spoiled, rich American kids and their burned out stuck in the 60's parents.

Bla bla bla.

Nice try but actions speak louder than words. Nobody's buying the scare tactics any more.

EDIT; I guess you're getting all worked up about the butt kicking you're gonna get in November? Is that why you go around calling people chicken on message boards? LOL

I prefer the fearmongering of the right.

You throw around terms like "liberal" and "socialist" like they mean the same thing. Get an education, jeenyus.
