I watched it years ago and cant remeber the title.

When Saturday comes (1996)
Jimmy Muir (Sean Bean) is a hard-drinking brewery worker in the city of Sheffield, with an arrogant lack of respect for authority. His entire life has been orientated by football and he possesses the potential, but has never had the courage or discipline to make anything of it. Jimmy is spotted by Ken Jackson, whilst playing for his pub team. Ken is the manager of Hallam football club, a local non-league team. After continually playing brilliantly for Hallam, Jimmy gets offered a trial at Sheffield United. The evening before the trial he gets drunk, and wakes up feeling very rough. Consequently he fails to impress the Sheffield United manager. Jimmy then has to consider his future and his choices and if he has the self discipline to succeed!

It's When Saturday comes, and it's with Emily Lloyd not Samantha Janus. Samantha Janus was in a Rugby film called Up "n" under which did not star Sean Bean.
The guy who said any given saturday is also getting confused. There was a film called Any given Sunday , but this was an American Football film and starred Al Pacino, Jamie Foxx and Cameron diaz.

Any given saturday, I think. All i know is that he stared with Pete Postlethwaite in that, and it's not the first time he did that, think back to the early 90s, both Sean Bean and Pete Postelthwaite starred togetrher in the "Sharpe" series. with PP playing Sgt Obadiah Hakeswill, Sharpe's long time enemy.

challenging to determine on, isn't it? this manner of excellent form of solid ones. for my area i admire lady Chatterley. the character had a superb form of intensity and selection, wasn't a villain yet a conventional guy or woman it is easy to relate to, and it relatively helped he did not die.
