inspite of his tremendous potential and superb performance in the county, he is not in the team. why???????

Zaheer has had a lot of opportunities in the past in which he very inconsistent with his performance.At times he bowled like there was no better bowler than him in India but at times he did exactly the opposite, like the World Cup Final against Australia where he started with his horrendous over with wides and no-balls on a pitch which was offering a lot of help to fast bowlers.
Besides, when he was in the team he constantly got injured and is the selectors don't have enough faith in him anymore and that is why even though he is performing really well lately, the selectors have ignored him.

you are saying a wrong fact. he don't have tremendous potential. he didn't obey the fitness rules. he don't have any superb performance's in domestic matches...and also he looses his confidence in cricket. it also shown in last world cup final first over from zaheer

Its is the result of experimentation process the team at the moment undergoes in the hands of the coach Chappel. He would make a come back with a bang. Just wait and see.

because the Indian coach is new and does not know the bowling of zaheer in international cricket as he is being ignored by the coach. he has only watched him in 1st class cricket and the nets

my 3rd fav bowler of indian team is zaheer khan.first is pathan then sreesanth then comes zaheer.I think so he's ignored because of his fate in last world cup + i heard he is lazy to run
