Hey, if humanity is wiped out or its population reduced, then there won't be much to worry about anymore. Hippy environmentalists would be happy. And bacteria too.

Yes in many instances I believe that you are right. The environmentalists and animal rights groups such as PETA do not love the environment as much as they hate people.

I have read articles by these people by these people ecstatic about the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia: despite the fact that they slaughtered 2 million people inside of one year, their efforts of murder and isolation of populations actually preserved many species of animals, one crocodile in particular. I guess they were swell guys after all. The good people from PETA have blown up countless buildings and murdered innocent people in the name of animal rights and the environment. Curiously enough they have murdered thousands of animals in the name of animal rights, maybe one of the brilliant liberals I see on this site can explain this one to me.

I believe environmentalism is not a science, it is a religion and a political movement. They believe their beliefs trump everyone else's and they have the right to do anything necessary to inflict their message on everyone. It could be using the courts or even murder. That sounds like a religion to me.

Not that I do not believe in preserving the planet; I believe man should be stewards to nature. I believe in the Teddy Roosevelt form of conservationism, a belief that we must cooperate with nature to survive. I believe the late Steve Irwin personified this, he would do anything for the enviroment, he was not afraid to stand up to those who would harm it yet I did not belieive he was trying to threaten or present his politcal agenda.

This is one of the most inciteful and observant questions that I have seen on this site. I would like to see these people exposed for who they are more often.

That just shows your ignorance towards people who care how the planet does not just the people. The planet works as a large system and when that system gets disrupted bad things start to happen, like bears and large cats wondering into towns that moved in on their territory. Do some research and look at how the destruction of the animals and trees the humans have done have affected the planet. To you question though that just shows your true ignorance and lack of intelligence.

I doubt we actually have the nuclear weapons to eliminate all 6 billion people, especially those living in a primitive state in the southern hemisphere, but we may have enough to end civilization as we know it.

There are some hard-core environmentalists who look forward to this cataclysm as their "payday" and can't wait for technological societies to crumble.

The problem is that it won't be so happy and peaceful for them as they imagine -- it'll be a nightmare they have ill-prepared for.
