No, it is only legal to download a digital copy of the music if you already have a bought copy.

and for those that think its sharing, you are actually making a digital copy of it and giving it to many complete strangers.

I don't agree with Spyro. Downloading from a torrent site is the same as downloading from anywhere else for free: you don't pay for the music so technically it's illegal.

It's not downloading music, as that is illegal. It's sharing the music, it's a loophole. It's the same as lending a CD to a friend. So technically it's legal

It's illegal, unless you own the original. You're also not allowed to make it avalible for others, whilst you download it.
