Do you think that Vickers intentionally wrecked Johnson and Earnhardt? If so what do you think should be done about it?

I was really pulling for Junior to win and was on pins and needles the last few laps. The thing that bothers me is that Junior appeared to have a car that could pull away from them and maintain a good car length lead even though Vickers was pushing Johnson. I can't help but think that Junior put himself in jeopardy by slowing just enough to try to block the other two. He should have seen it coming and trusted the strength and speed of his car. He could have gone to the bottom going into the last corner taking the short way around. That would have left Johnson and Vickers on the top through the corner where Vickers wouldn't be able to push Johnson. I think Junior would have been able to come back up the track exiting the corner still in front of the other two. It is likely that Vickers would have tried to pass Johnson as they exited the corner and both would have lost the advantage of the draft between them, but it would have been too late because Junior would have had at least a car length lead. I'm guessing that Junior will take this lesson to heart.

I don't think Vickers intentionally wrecked Johnson. I don't think he has that much skill. I think it was an unfortunate accident.

Vickers didnt intentionally wreck anyone, nothing to gain.If anyone needs to cry about anything,it should be the other 10 car drivers that JJ took out earlier in the race.Always in plate races, hes the cause of a major wreck. And as for Jr winning yesterday,it wasnt gonna happen even if they didnt wreck because Johnson and Vickers would have blown his doors off the last 2000 feet...

I don't think it was intentional by any means, I don't think any racecar driver would want to win in that way. Vickers was trying to push Jimmie through and simply hooked him. Had Vickers actually fallen into line behind Johnson, the win would have gone to Johnson. Earnhardt had one of the best cars, but there is no doubt two cars is better than one.

Oh and I read someone else blamed Jimmie Johnson for the wreck earlier in the race. That is ridiculous, it was a chain reaction crash. They said it on the broadcast, it started up front with Kyle Busch and someone else and just kept going through the field. That is Talledega folks.

Nascar should take away that supposed win because Vickers' Backstreet Boy wannabe *** didn't win that fairly. He took out the two best cars on the track to get that crappy win!

Dale Jr is the true winner of that race. He was smoking everyone. And Vickers had the gall to blame Dale Jr! Dale Jr did not make Vickers pull a idiot rookie move on the last lap of the race! Vickers proved that the only way he can win is to wreck someone!

Then he sat there and dedicated that mess to Ricky Hendrick! I know that Ricky would not want a win of that type dedicated to him. And we all saw that Rick Hendrick and none of the other HMS drivers were in victory lane with Vickers!!

DALE JR IS THE WINNER OF THAT RACE AND THAT'S THAT!

Well to Budwieser fans they think Hugo Chavez called Vickers the "Devil."

Actually if you watch it again without the fan juices pumping in your blood, you would see Vicker mader the RIGHT MOVE! Follow Johnson in a two car draft to pass the #8. If it works? We are slapping Brian on the back for HELPING the #48 win. The problem was the restrictor plates. The reduced HP keeped the #48 from passing quickly. Had there been another .005 Sec? The angle of the bumper changes and the cars don't hook right. Sorry folks there was no intent or man on the grassy knoll here. Just Plate racining. Where are all the people crying about the 2 Big ones that took out my drivers???????????

I don't know for sure if Vickers is an idiot and miscalculated, or is just stupid and intenitonally wrecked them. Either way, you can't take the win away from him (unfortunately) - if you do, then you have to go back and take Jeff Gordon's win away from him in Chicagoland (when he wrecked Matt Kenseth, and a lot more obvoiusly), and other bump and run wins.

That being said, Vickers isn't making himself any friends, on OR off the track, and it'll come back to bite him in the butt in the near future. I wouldn't want to be him next race. I also wouldn't want to be AROUND him next race...

It happens. Look what Jr did at that Busch race with Carl Edwards. I don't think Brian Vickers wrecked Jr. or Johnson on purpose. That's all apart of racing.

Good ending to an exciting race. It was an accident. If the roles were reversed than everyone would be saying it was a good hard run for the points.
Get off Vickers back. You all sound like Gordon fans.

No it was not intentional.Look close as they were racing hard and the move for the pass.It looks as if the air got off of Jimmie and he backed off and wiggled .When he tried to get back in line he did not get a good spot from his spotter and Vickers was closer than it appeared and touched the rear of Johnson and the rest is a wreck.

If your a true race fan at heart, you know that's the way racing goes. Do we get mad when our driver is the one being wrecked? HELL YES!!! we do. I believe that wreck was pure inexperience on Vickers part, but just like every other car on the track he wanted to win. What made me mad the most was not excepting blame for screwing up and being sorry, he tried to blame the wreck on Dale Jr. Although he's leaving Hendricks, we can at least say he's leaving a true Hendricks driver; pushing blame and being a crybaby!!!!!!!!!!! GO JR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
