i love him to pieces, and ihe loves me but i feel he wants more out of life.
he has travelled alot in the past and he would rather be in another country other than here. (not suprising as it is rainy old englan)
i am the same but i am in college adn i am unable to just pack up and leave, even tho i would if i had the chance too.
he was telling me yesterday how he was thinking that he could just get on a plane adn leave for costa rica, at any time, live on the beach adn build a house .
it made me sad because i dont to be the one to hold him down, or prevent him from fullfilling his dreams, if he said i want to leave now adn that i could go with him i think i would.
please help i dont know what to do, do yuo think i am holding him, back and do yuo think i should let him go??
or should i stay with him and if he sets his heart on leaving should i go with him?

You aren't pinning him to the bed or anything. If he really wanted to go, he would. Speak to him. Explain that while you would love to travel with him now, you need to finish college. If he wants to go now, you won't stop him, and you will come and join him whenever you can. Then the choice is on him. If he wants to go, know he has your blessing. If he still doesn't want to go, either he isn't as interested in travelling as you thought, or he can't bare to go without you.

these are pipe dreams honey...you don't really think he's gonna go to the beach and build a house do you...these are his dreams....if he does decide to go off, then you cant really stop him can you.....i dream all the time about having a beautiful home in the country..blah blah blah..and having this and that, get him and ask him what he wants out of life other than sitting there talking dreams, he must have an outlook.....as for you luv....stay in college and study hard....

*shrugs* now this goes to the saying of 'if you love someone,you have to let him go'
If he loves you , he'll stay .he'll change. trust me on this.Maybe he just loves his lifestyle more? So by holding him back you'll make him feel trapped in the cage. Now that won't be a good thing would it? Ok what about yourself ..Would you enjoy seeing him unhappy? What about your relationship? You think that would lasts?
Let's say you wanna sacrifice...What about your future? As someone whos inlove i'd go 'screw my future ,i can't let him go'...But you should..You may get a better man...but you will never get another chance to turn back the time. Think carefully, whats your priorities?

I had the same dilemma although i didnt want to go travelling, we were together for 3 and a half years before he decided he had to go, he was originally going for a year but decided not to come back.
if you really want to go then do it, whats stopping you studying later. but if your not sure then stay and let him go, perhaps it was meant to be that way.
i do sometimes wish i had gone with him but i have changed since he left 2 years ao and feel i am a stronger person for doing so

when you love someone,leave the person free...
either you gotta go with him (that's what a person in love wud mostly do) or you gotta stay back & keep worrying abt what he's upto all the time.
