Oh, which to answer first... the original question of the responses. Lets start with the orignal question: The answer to whether or not we have progress is how we determine progress. If you definition of progress is one side of the two sided equation getting everything they want with no limitations or responsibility, then NO, THAT type of progress is not taking place. (although I gather that is what the previous answerers wanted)

This issue of progress over the land of Isreal/Palestine has been attempted MANY times over the last few generations. And if progress ever stops, THAT will be the ultimate problem. Both sides of the equation believe that land belongs to them... and to be honest both have several good reasons to believe so. Both Californians and Mexicans could give viable reason for thier rights to posess land in the now state of California, one view is more often backed, but both have some validity to it.

I believe Isreal, and the Palestinian Governments, will continue to talk through the process of sharing the land. I do not believe the people of the West Band and the Gaza strip will ever be able to get control over the entire land, and I believe that as long as the nations around Israel do not force war upon the nation of Israel, that the Palestinians will still be given some allotment of the Nation of Israel to call their own.

Now, as for the statement that Israel is demanding more land than was ever thier own:
- If you are refering to the Golan Heights, Gaza Strip and West Bank, a study of the Historical Nation of Israel will display that they had their clans controling a good majority of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Golan Heights, not to mention parts of what is not Lebanon, Jordan, Eqypt and Syria. But since Israel's aquisition of the above mentioned territories, they have also attempted to give them back to the nations who participated in the attack on Israel that lead to Israel possession of those territories today. But as I mentioned above progress has been held up, on both sides for various reasons. We just need to voice our desire for peace and continue to pray for that accomplishment.
