Yes, it can be done with the right cables. I forget what the video in is on my laptop. But it will connect to phono sockets and audio and you can get an adapter for SCART.

Unfortunately you cannot burn your movies direct from the Sky+ box, due to the encryption methods used by Sky, but in saying that, you can get a little device called a Macro Buster, and some clever software you can get for free from the Net, info on this software can be gained at Digital Spy, and Hey Presto, all the stuff is saved for ever......I have to be careful what info I give out on this site, as you can appreciate......but trust me....it is easy....

basical it is not posible to have a direct download of the recording on to your laptop, as Sky+ box doesn't have a data connection. The only way around it to transfer the video+audio signal on to your computer, meaning you have to play your recordings on your sky+ box conected to your laptop with a video recording device like Dazzle Video Creator or similar.

go to sky.com home page then above quicklinks there is a link that says register/login, on that page you can register to get your movies online (we watch sport channels (hubby does) you will have to download the link that they send you but you can download and burn to your hearts content..have fun

If you subscribe to sky movies then you can download them from the website. and if you dont then I dont know.
