Yes, I did know that.

The overall ratio of fuel to by-product is too low. In other words there is too much bulky stuff left over considering the small amount of usable methane.

However, this energy is also available as fertilizer -- which is what human waste is used for in many parts of east Asia.

just like cattle do in their feces, but not enough to use for anything substantial though, besides fertilizer.
