Uhm.......you read my fitness questions from yesterday I see. *sigh*

No, I don't run a mile and eat a candy bar as a reward. I don't curl cans of coke. I don't burn calories getting frisky with a non existent boyfriend's best friend. And I don't eat popcorn while walking on the treadmill. (Wow........grouping it all together does make me sound like an idiot doesn't it? lol)

When I was in high school I stayed fit just for competition's sake. I needed to be the best and to be the best I had to work out and keep up my endurance. I never once thought of it as "being healthy" in order to live long and prosper. (No I'm not a star wars freak). But now? Now I know that if I don't do something to stay fit, I won't be able to keep up with life the way I want to live it. I need to have the energy............ the ability...... and the vehicle that will do it.

We live in a society where technology has taken over to the point that we are raising "fat kids.' (no one yell at me.........this is statistically true!) They don't go outside and run around playing like they used to. They sit in front of the computer screen or the playstation rather than riding bikes, skateboarding or making mud pies.

My thoughts on fitness? If we don't change our ways.......our lifespan will start to decrease rapidly in this country. So get your tuckus's out there...........and take a lap!!

I'm not a gym freak yet I do consider being fit essential.
So I spend 6 to 9 hours per week working out and I try to follow a healthy diet as well.

Physical fitness done under the motivation of "looking good" is usually short lived as the goal is frustrating, you are never satisfied.

Physical fitness done under the motivation of "being good?" There is satisfaction around just about every corner.

being fit is very important to me because if you look at what our world is coming to day by day that is enough motivation there to stay fit and on shape
