Why or why not?

I am scared of clowns but, I don't know why. They just freak me out with all they're make-up and they're laughing, and balloon animals. *shivering* And the movie "It" by Stephen King didn't help my fear much either.

Nope, not at all.

Here is a website that may explain why people fear clowns:

I am scared of clowns. I think it has to do with the crazy person hiding underneath the makeup, red nose and big clothes. They would have to be pretty sick in the head to want to do that for a living, you know. =)

And have you seen that movie with Rob Zombie? I can't remember the name right now but holy cow was that clown freaky or what!!!??

What is so wrong about clowns? I've seen the movie "It" more than 15 years ago but that movie didn't change my impression towards clowns. They are generally intended for children... not for you grown-ups who imagine clowns are disguised psychos, criminals, evil-doers or... whatever. Geez! I think your fear of clowns is rather a disorder. You need to visit a psychiatrist... and I recommend for you to do it immediately.

I'm not scared of clowns but they freak me out to a certain extent, esp when you see a clown in a bad mood! cus his face paint is all happy but below that is anger and its just a werid looking picture, plus in all honesty i think any grown man who wants to be a clown and hang around children is deep down a child molester

I can't believe they still exist ( besides the Liberals and Rappers) .I've been to several kids parties where there has been a clown and it is always a bust and the kids aren't interested. I wish the profession would just go away.

They are creepy, but to be honest I am not scared of them, I remember laughing so hard at the clowns at the circus. I think that people blow it out of proportion after the IT movie.

OMG yes! I used to work for McDonalds and one of the stores that I worked at had the most evil looking Ronald statue! The store was always dark when you walk in first thing in the morning and late at night after the store's closed, All you can see are his evil eyes and menacing grin in the darkness. I almost wanted to pull every kid that chose to climb on it off it and tell them how evil it was. The only reason I didn't was because I didn't want to scare them!

Scared Not really, want to beat the snot out of their big red noses yes!

I don't know why, I just hate them, it's like they just flip a switch in me that makes me draw back a fist when one gets to close.

I always tell them before they get to close that they are going to get hit if they get any closer.
