I am not sure, but it is a really stupid thing to do on purpose. I do know you can fly them in most ball fields and parking lots, but the larger more serious ones capable of flying long distances should not be flown over nieghborhoods. There are many safe places to fly them though. Ask around. You might be surprised where you can fly.

frequently there are some regulations approximately the place you are able to fly them. yet on the grounds that it is not an RC plane subject count and that i've got not flown one in years, and your in australia. maybe attempt googling it reason I heavily doubt all of us here is familiar with what the particular regulations are in in spite of city you reside in, in australia

Legal or not, just think about this question. It would be a very unwise thing to do and I doubt any insurance company would cover you if you caused any injury or damage. My advice??? Don't do it.
