All "legends" come from some sort of truth. You will find ppl who will swear to the authenticity of a legend, Big Foot, Nessie etc. and I have no doubt that they are honest believers in it's being. I have no problem with those who believe what they are saying. I do have a problem with those who try to disprove it. Sometimes it is better to believe in another than to disbelieve what we do not know about. The possibility is always there for something yet undiscovered. We do not know our planet as well as we should. We have not sought to understand natures ways or secret.

There may be some sort of large animal in Loch Ness but it is more likely to be a giant species of existing fish or mammal, in one way I wish there were such a thing as the monster but I doubt it.

The mystery of the loch ness monster was solved recently. The most famous photo is actually the trunk of an african circus elephant which love the water and spend time bathing every day in Africa,. They are actually accomplished swimmers ( as are most four legged mammals,) so not really a monster.

Having to believe in such legends keeps the people at work, doesn't it? And at the same time, these legends give us some rooms for imagination; which turns out to be our focus point to go further - whether or not to dwell deeper into solving the mystery or otherwise, it doesn't matter...
Not being able to see these legends doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Being able to see them doesn't mean they exist either for they may be a hoax to draw in more visitors to the place.

now, it would be lovely if nessie actually existed, but all the photoes and footage have turned out to have been an hoax. there is something in the lake, that has been detected by sonar but never actually seen, they say it moves through underground caves and stuff, but they are yet to prove this theory, and they need to make further work. as soon as i go to the lockness lake myself i will let you know what i see.

but for now is just a legend.

It is very easy for "experts" to deny the existence of all the cryptozoological animals that are said to exist. However, it is far more difficult for "experts" to explain what people ARE seeing.

So, I keep an open mind. There are many interesting sightings reported, I don't belive that all of these are made up.

The "experts" who reject all these observations are self-opinionated bigots.

Well, I had Nessie round for tea the other day, and who should turn up but my dragon friend. I won't have them both together again. Messy eaters, slurped their tea, had a burping contest, and they glared at each other the whole time. I'm lucky my walls are still standing, though I did tell them they were guests in my home and they were to behave.
I know how to keep them in order!

I think the loch ness monster is real. My granddad saw it on a visit there when he was a kid.

there has to be something behind this legend as well as other sightings such as the one called ogopogo here in the U.S. these have been reportedly seen over the years and would like to be alive long enough to know the truth.

Loch Ness monster? No, I don't think so. Great scam for pulling in tourists though.
