I once worked at a Woolworth store the store section was added to an old factory, years had passed and the store used part of the factory as stock room, when any thing was going to happen the factory manager was seen, on one sighting an electric light came away from the fitting exposing the cable wires, on another the store had a large boiler system and the damper caught fire at the back in the middle of the night, yet another when a door was unlocked but no body around at the time and never used. It was a very spooky place

I haven't, but my parents have, and as I trust them I believe them.
In my mum and dad's house my mum has seen a child walk from our living room and then heading towards the stairs. I have always thought I have seen something out of the corner of my eye in the same place. I wonder where the child was going, not to my room I hope! When we first moved into our house, there was an extremely odd cold patch in the corner of our living room, warm in the rest of the room, but if you extended your arm into the corner it would be icy cold. My mum said that she was petrified, I was too young to remember. My dog used to go loopy around that area too. Mum thought about asking a priest to come to the house, but luckily one day it just disappeared. Our house used to be a bakery, and is over 500 years old, so it has, no doubt, experienced a lot! Across the road from the house is the church, it's lovely but as with any graveyard scary by night. My dad used to turn the heating on in the church saturday nights ready for the sunday morning service, the heater is situated under the church, very creepy, one night after turning the heating on at about 10pm dad was making his way back home through the graveyard when he saw a white lady floating under a tree, i know it sounds an obvious one, but it's true. My mums house is situated very close to the most haunted village in England, which probably doesn't help!

Yes, we have a ghost in our house. Quite often when we are all downstairs, we can hear running upstairs, we assume the ghost is running about on the very long landing between the bedrooms, a perfect place for fun and games if youre a bored ghost (or child).
I can't tell you the number of times Ive gone up there thinking one of the kids is running around, and theyre all fast asleep (ive poked them and tickled them to make sure theyre really asleep too).
Luckily its a friendly ghost, so nothing unpleasant happens. There is also a place in the house where there is a very strong, sweet perfume smell, and Ive checked all my detergents and smelly stuff and its no smell of mine. I guess thats a ghosty too.
But Im not usually very receptive to things like that, Im aquarius. My mum, who is pisces, has seen all sorts of things, blood dripping off stuff and shapes wandering about.

I lived in a 12th century monastery when I was a kid (at boarding school, 12 years old). There was a legend that a homesick choirboy had hanged himself in the big stone fireplace on the landing. One quiet Sunday afternoon I was mucking about on the piano next to the fireplace with a friend, when we suddenly noticed that the soot etched into the stone rear wall of the fireplace was clearly shaped like a small boy with his hands clasped in prayer. We inspected it closely for some time, with chills running down our spines, then ran like hell. We never seemed to manage to go back there after that to verify what we had seen, but I can remember the image clearly to this day - down to the individual fingers held up in front of his face.

I have never seen a ghost, but I have heard them. My childhood home was built on top of an old graveyard and if you walked through the woods in the back of the house, you would end up at a cemetary (true story.) Anyway, my godfather was killed in a plane crash and he was buried in the cemetary behind my house and every now and then, when I was acting up, my bedroom door would shake. I think it was him telling me to straighten up.

In the old house I lived in I never saw a ghost but every evening at 5:30pm we would hear our front door open then close, someone walking along the hallway and then go upstairs. We would hear two loud bangs like someone kicking off their boots or shoes and then nothing.

We tried being in the hallway at 5:30pm and our door never opened but we still heard the door close and we felt something like someone walking passed us.
We asked neighbours and apparently there was a old man who live there before us and that was the time he come home every night and went upstairs to bed. He stopped using the rest of the house since his wife had died. Then one day he never went into work and someone had come to check on him and they found him dead in his bed.
We moved out and the people who live there now contacted us and asked us about the noise every night at 5:30pm.

my house was built in 1895. The first mayor of my town built it, then it was a doctors office now a house. One day I was watching lifetime(it was during the day) and I saw out of the corner of my eye, a tall dark man with a hat walk into my sisters closet. The closet was once the enterance to the basement. I came across a picture of the old mayor- it was him. I was so happy, it was me & my boyfriends 3 year anniversey. I feel he was saying "happy anniversey!"

I woke up one night and thought my daughter was standing by the bed .I asked her what she was doing but no reply.I then noticed that the bedroom door was closed and the landing light was off (she wouldve woken me by opening the door which sticks).I sat up but there was nobody there and I know i wasnt dreaming. Also on numerous occasions my partner has accused me of sitting looking through the window in the early hours ,definitely not me .
