Well, without knowing the exact location of the egg in your body at any specific time, it is really really hard to do.

This is what I have read: The sperm that makes "girls" live a lot longer, but also swim slower.
The sperm that makes "boys" swim really fast, but die much sooner.

So...the object is, if you want a boy, that you have sex a teeny bit after you ovulate. The boy sperm will get there, and voila'!

If you want a girl, have sex a day or so before you ovulate. This way, the girl sperm will have had the time to swim up into the tube and will be waiting for the egg to pop out, and all the "boy" sperm will have died by then.

Like I said...how do you know where the egg is? You can do the BBT monitoring...that helps...or you can take ovulation tests, but i had a tough time with that.

Just a hint with those tests: The test line has to be DARKER than the control line to show that you are ovulating. You can get lines for over a week when you get close to ovulating, so the darker line is the indicator.

My husband wanted to try for a boy...supposedly there are old wives tales...like the positions you should be in, or the types of food you should eat/drink before you try to conceive, or the number of times you should try to conceive per week.

Good luck to you, and don't worry about girl/boy...they are all gifts.

My doctor told me that the longer a man stays in after he ejaculates the better the chances of having a boy are because they die quicker, so I assume if he pulls out right after you may have a better chance of having a girl. That being said you can guarantee a girl by getting artificially inspeminated with only girl sperm from your hubby, my sisters friend did that and it worked. Good luck

female sperm live longer, but male sperm are stronger swimmers, so the closer to ovulation you have sex the higher the chances of having a boy, if you have sex 3, 4 and five days before ovulation the better your chance of having a girl,
good luck!

I heard if you consume more dairy that you are more likely to have a girl...and more meats and eggs a boy. I am not sure how exactly that works....could just be a myth.

My thepry is : If the male cums first then there will not be enough fluid to benefit the faster male-pattern cells .
If the woman cums first the female pattern-cells will be out run by the M.P.s There is more to it ,but it makes sense. Only a theory
