Find out if your state is a community property state- that means you have to split what you bought during the marriage- you also get to keep what you had before the marriage a your own personal property= gifts are also you own personal property- it would help you to get subsidized daycare -get social service help and get and education or some kind of training-or go to work because you will need to, Do not go out find another husband like the one you have= get a lawyer and check out Legal Aid= I am surprised that child support service did not take your tax refund check and apply it towards back child support. What a mess- sorry- you apparently can' t count on your husband so you need to do what you need to do- make good choices for you and your son-take care-D

You didn't say what state you live in. If your in a community property state of not. Also does he need the truck for his job? Did you buy it together? Do you ow payments on it? Who will make payments. You said you have a young child do you live in place with out transportation? Buses, cabs? Do you live outside of town? Lots of stuff I would need to answer this.
One thing you need a lawyer.

The car is the property of the essential buyer not the co-signer. A word of caution---to avoid getting tied up in these yours and mine situations don't put anyone elses name on your property. Relationships break up all the time and this happens. Yes, including in marriage.. Be independent for your future security.

in the united kingdom it would be a case of getting a solicitor(lawyer) and coming to a financial agreement with all your assessts with your husband and 9 times out of 10 the women always win, unless he needs the truck to work to pay maintenance in that case he might have to give you your share in moneys and he keeps the truck.

Well I think you need to first go to the county were you got married and you need to go to the court house there you are going to ask for the documentation that you need to get divorced and she need to go with you both file and you need to pay the fees that they ask you to pay to get divorced the start the process and in a couple of months you will go before a judge and he will let you know both are divorced.
