Yup, like everyone else said. It's Donkey kong.
Sometime after that, he is featured in an arcade called mario bros., which is then released in the NES.

im pretty sure it was Donkey Kong. oh yeah and just to let u know, Luigi appered first in Mario Bros (not the nes one, the arcade one)

It was donkey kong but he was also in the sequal Donkey Kong Jr.as the villian this is the only time he is portrayed as a villian
