I think Penzance in Cronwall is the best town in the UK - it's lovely and picturesque, and I used to live there.

The worst - anywhere in London, especially Essex (I've lived there too). I hate cities with all the cars and pollution and stress.

But I live in Spain, and thats the best ever!!

;-)

Best: York, Bath, Cambridge, Most of the big towns in Cornwall or Devon

London is the worst, once you get sucked in there is no escape, believe me, I came here for 6 months and am still stuck here in the hell hole 8 years later.

best? every one has different needs, concept and experience, worse for me at times Bristol and at times Ti's the best..
worse place i have ever lived again due to personal experience, a small town in oxfordshire called faringdon, double standards, small town mentality and easy to be isolated. But it also was safer for children in many ways..

Been a Yorkshire lass I have to say anywhere in beautiful Yorkshire is a good place to live, but I love so many places in the UK so that's a hard one, the worst place for me to live would be anywhere in Birmingham, sorry.

London can fall into both categories. Best because there are some really nice areas and worse for the tube.
