You have to look at a PC as a tool, and then you have to assess what your plans are for that tool.

e.g. If all you plan to do is run programs like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, surf the internet, and maybe play some fairly simple video games, etc. then an entry level PC, such as a Dell, will probably do the trick for you.

If you are heavily into gaming or very complex video and/or graphics, then you need to do a bit of research and understand more about CPU's, RAM, Mother Boards, Bus Speeds, etc., etc., etc.

Tell us more about what you plan to use the PC for and then we could be more specific about what PC or PC minimum requirements we would recommend.

Depends what work u have a intel celeron would be enough if u want to use it for spreedsheets or presentation and internet, but if u need it for a heavy graphics or gaming than go for Intel's Core Duo
