Nothing really. I think you can ask a few more questions per day, and get more points for rating answers. There is a chart which explains it on the site. It's mainly just for bragging rights, I suppose.

You can answer 60 questions a day and ask 15 questions, so more points available. I think my limit is about 20-30 so im wasted being on level 3 nearly 4 now

It takes you closer to level 4
makes you seem more important than level 1 & 2 (Yahoo's way of giving us an incentive to continue using the site & it seems to work!)
Really the points & levels are all worthless. In fact, Y!A is so addictive, you will need to be careful not to get fired if using it at work since it takes up a lot of our time.

3-4 is the ideal level. You've given enough answers (and presumably had a few "bests") to feel like a valuable member of the community, but you aren't such a points-chasing no-life know-all saddo that you've reached the dizzy heights of 5 and above (no offence, guys and girls!) :-)
But in practice, no, there's no useful benefit.

Nothing.. just the anxiety of wondering what will happen when you get to Level 4.
Am now anxious as to what will happen when I get to Level 5...
