The brain is the rational, the heart is the passionate. You need both to be effective. Following either one without listening to the other at all will lead to destruction. If you listen only to your heart, you will not have the practical means to do anything. If you listen only to your head, you will be completely without ambition.

I don't know if Satan is the author of confusion, but if Charlie Daniels is to be believed, he plays one mean fiddle.

I would say that our ego is the author of confusion. It seems the goal should be to have the heart and the head working in unison for the common good for all. I'm pretty sure Satan and ego is the same thing! Just an absence of Light.

Well some people make decisions based on reason rather than emotion, thinking this is the more logical choice. But what does that have to do with the devil? Is logic evil? Or is emotion evil? Head? Heart? I'm confused...

I try to follow my heart and my head...am I wrong?

It is riskey buisness to follow the heart. Especially because it is so deceiving. Most people dont really know where their hearts lead them, but they think they do. And so wrong, so much of the time! It is safer to make logical, educated and thought out decisions.

Where is their heart? Sometimes the heart is confused with want and desire and it does not consider long term consequences. It is best when the heart and the logic are in agreement.

I think because your head helps you create logic while your heart would just make you do what you want with out thinking much of future consequences.
