You are being truthful to your family & there is nothing wrong with that. Realize your family loves you & is concerned for your well being. Most people also hear early detection allows for the best prognosis. If you were to have a recurrence you could be treated with recommended therapy or you could not - it would be your choice. However, not trying at all will give you a definite outcome of losing. Live your life & try to be the best person you can be. Peace.

Well, I can see your point, and NO, it is not wrong of you to tell them. However, if the cancer is caught early there is a good chance it can be successfully treated. I wish you would reconsider your position! In any case, your family is only trying to look after your welfare, so don't be mad at them. Best wishes and take care.

your premise is flawed. Thers is not "nothing that they can do" if cancer is found in your other lung. So yes it is wrong to tell them that, they feel you've given up on life and are saddened that you dont want to stay wiht them.

No it is not wrong.

I believe family member take advantage of the fact they are family by asking things that are frankly none of their business.
Tell them, tell them exactly what you think, maybe they will stop bothering you about it.
