When hearing MPs and candidates views on Islam, Christianity, Faith based schools etc I would like to know where they themselves are coming from. It would also definitely play into my voting intentions.

I know that the House of Commons keeps a list of Members Interests, and it might be contained therein.

I know that Islam is a big topic for debate at the moment but I would point out that Britain is effectively a secular state. Do you REALLY want MPs playing the religious card to gain your vote? I hope not. What Muslims are going through now is a bit like what happened to the Irish Catholics in the 1970s when the IRA was at its height.

And look what has happened to religion and the right in the US

Please let us not repeat history again....

They are not obliged to disclose this. Their entries in Dod's and Who's Who do not mention their religion. It would be easiest to find the non-Christian MPs as there are not very many. Perhaps some organisation interested in this conducted a survey at the last election. I can tell you all the 18 MPs from Northern Ireland are Christian so you can eliminate them from your survey.

Non-non secular ideals... like what working example? paintings ethic- it quite is truly not abuse- it truly is basically making specific they understand a thank you to maintain a job as quickly as they have one. Integrity- back, no longer abuse- basically making specific their lives are in solidarity with their ideals (even if those ideals could be) appreciate- basically coaching them a thank you to win and shop pals...... i do no longer see how coaching my concept device to my newborn is abuse. as quickly as the youngster is the right age to choose what to have self belief, then there continues to be the priority of relatives regulations, traditions, and expectancies. If attending non secular centers is a component and parcel, then the youngster is going to could wait until eventually he's eighteen to coach his ideals as he sees extra wholesome. i myself observed this starting to be up. the place i assumed, observed and enjoyed the prepare and uncomplicated traditions of religion in our residing house, 2 of my brothers did no longer. there have been circumstances they felt super desire to no longer attend centers, yet mom and dad instructed them they had to return. replaced into that abuse? i'm uncertain. Will I do an analogous while i'm a be sure and if my little ones choose yet another course? i do no longer think of so, yet i do no longer understand. i understand that now that those 2 brothers are the two adults (over 25), they have each and every made their very own options. One has back to what he replaced into taught as a newborn. the different has chosen, um... permit's call it "individuality" ;) ...

You should be voting on who will do the best job, not on who believes in a certain thing. I don't see why they should even have to reveal their beliefs.
