You should go to a nutritionist and get some advice. There are many different reasons why some people suffer from bloatedness.

The most common cause is normally diet and a common culprit is wheat. However, you could have a food sensitivity or allergy that's causing it. You should also look at your lifestyle or any medications that you're on as that could cause your bloatedness too. Also if you suffer from constipation, it could also add to the complications of your bloatedness.

A nutritionist will ask you to make a food diary and then will assess this and try to make some remedies.

I'm no nutritionist, but I would suggest that you should cut out the following for just 1 week and see how you feel:

All wheat products (biscuits, bread, cakes, pizza etc), dairy products (except probiotic yoghurt), sugary foods (except honey, molasses and natural syrups).

If that doesn't work, resume eating those foods in moderation but for the following week, do not add any extra salt, seasoning salt or soy sauce to your food and see what happens.

Good luck

sounds as if you probably have some sort of food allergy. Bloatedness can often be caused by a gluten allergy, also fruit can cause a problem because of it's acidity. It's not for everyone but I am at present going to an acupuncturist - the Chinese apparently believe that the stomach is like a second skin and any problems with your health will show up in your gut. They also give me some herbal remedy which is supposed to help. I've been 3 times now over 3 consecutive weeks and I'm definitely noticing improvement. Acupuncture doesn't hurt it's basically just ones phsycy that has a problem with it. I would recommend you give it a go.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.
I eat very little too. And Ive been drinking plenty of fluids to help wash out bloat but it's still BAD.
Maybe we have allergies? Lactose intolerance? IBS?

I did find that drinking hot tea first thing in the morning helps for the next few hours.
And coffee helped for a bit, but then i thought it aggravated things. I have no idea...GOOD QUESTION.

Try taking a probiotic drink or yoghurt a couple of times a day, it may help.
It may be worth just mentioning this to your doctor as it could be caused by various medical conditions, and its best to rule those out before self treating. The probiotics will not do you any harm until you get to see your doc :)

Try taking digestive enzyme supplements, it'll help reduce the bloatedness & help food digest better.

Google it ... check for protease, amylase & lipase

I get that (only since I gave up smoking). Could be too much salt in your diet or water retention. Ask the chemist for tablets - I think their called Waterfall

the feeling will definitely be there at least an hour before the food digest, you can't do anything about it
