To have loved someone means that you have lived a life that is fulfilling. But in order to love, you would have to learn more about that person ie. to know their likes/dislikes.

To answer this, you'll have to ask youself two fundamental questions..
1>What is Love?
2>What is the objective of learning?
The quote above is trying to answer these questions, which humanity has been trying to answer for millenia...
It is trying to say that life is all about love (we are talking about love in a very broad sense here).. Hate, anger and other negative emotions don't add but deplete the quality of life.. On the other hand, love makes your life richer. From the time we are born we seek love.. And we cherish the moments when we loved others.. Love is the essense of life.. So loving is essentially living..
And why do we keep seeking knowledge..? What do we seek to learn?? What is learning??? "To Learn is to Love.."
As you keep learning things in life, as you keep getting "wiser" you understand that the greatest learning of all, is to learn how to love... Because what is knowledge and learning for, if not for us to live in harmony with each other and to love one another..
This is my interpretation of it.. May be who ever wrote it, had different thoughts in mind..

Some answers are stupid but I must say I have not the answer either. I am drowning in lonliness. I was waiting for love to start living but find myself dying daily with the overwelming loneliness. To have a large bank roll is to live and love in America. A good guy with a heart, good looks, health and ethics is no longer important in our American society. The treasures in a relationship lasting a lifetime are unmeasurable. Only wish I could be excepted and loved by a beautiful women with the same ideals I hold in my heart. What ever happened to Honesty, integrity, respect, loyalty, dignity, desire and the dicipline to choose the right???

This is a wrong sayee. To learn means to know, to gather the facts to prove it. To learn means to try to create something like writing an essay, poem etc. To learn means to get train to do something like your job. You learn about the internet means you want to understand it and want to use the internet in order to get fulfill your requirement of the internet. To learn means not to love. You can prove that while learning you can get affection for the particular art, work or thing but that depends upon you and your thoughts. It is not Universally right proverb. You can use Love to live. Love is part of life. But love is not only enough to live, you have to do lot of things to live. You have to work hard, you have to face problems of life and love can be an element of encouragement for your living but the love doesnot mean to live. Love is a mix of affection, feelings, and emotions for someone or something. Did you heard this word "Love at First Site". This is the love that you make/did without knowing or learning of the thing or the person. Eventhough for that person if you have an extra feelings and when your start to live with him/her you will come across differnt factors like your different thoughts, the way to live the life, your beliefs and when they will not match with eachother you will try to break up with those person. And then you learn to love is not means to live that makes the life worse. So you cannot tell to learn is to love and Love is to live.
The best example of the Learn is your chilhood where you learn lots of day to day activities.
The best example of the Love is Love marriage.
The best example of the Live is Break up between Love Marriage Couple

To learn something, one must have the interest, the concern, caring, and sharing of ideas, values, and regard for the author.......
that means to love!
To love= to actually live! Only when we fully LIVE do we begin to enjoy all the good things in life.
Whether physically dead or spiriually so, dead dead dead = lacking love!

Patience is 2 understanding,i.e Wisdom,
having understanding is experience.i.e Maturity.
