Yes, but it depends on the situation and what State you are working in. The laws vary. Try going to your State governments Home Page on the net! To find it just do a search with your States name!

NO! But if they do not have the money the checks will bounce.. If it is that bad then they are going under and you should find another job ASAP!

they cant issue checks that wont clear. Find another employer, this one is on thin ice.
