m = mol solute / kg solvent

Simply plug in the varibles to the equation

0.6m = mol NaOH / .500kg H2O

mol NaOH = 0.3 mol NaOH.

0.3 mol NaOH (or 12g of NaOH) in 500g H2O needed to make 0.6m soln.
