I do it quite often, since I don't like crowds. I've never had any problems - the last thing I bought was Birkenstocks from Germany, and they arrived within a week.
It's important to have a professional-looking website with lots of pictures of your products so people have some idea of what they're getting. I always look for that little lock symbol at the bottom of the page - buying on the net isn't completely secure but it helps to reassure the customer.

I always shop online. I haven't been let down yet and it's usually cheaper. I don't drive either so everything gets delivered to my door from grocery shopping to presents and gifts. Ebay has to be my favorite though, I like the paypal system. Give it a go. I even buy birthday cards online now and have it delivered straight to their door, it's fun and cheaper and saves having to trawl around shops with two kids in toe wanting everything they see and dinners and bus fares.

The only buying I do off the Internet is stuff from EBay, I actually love going shopping so prefer to go to the high street myself.

I always buy online, its so handy especially at xmas, no packed shops, just sit in front of ur pc and all the gifts get delievered. I always buy with confidence. I would be causious of buying something over £200 though and get out the seler first.

i shop on line as often as i can, if i can buy something without having to go out i will do. i use paypal as my main method of payment, send a cheque and i have bought special insurance for my card so if a fraudster tries to use it i can claim it back even if its done on the Internet. nowadays you are just as likely to experience fraud on the streets due to chip and pin because a person standing next to you or indeed the cashier themselves may see you typing in your pin number.

I shop very often from the internet. I buy mostly cd's, dvd's and movie replicas for my collection, but i rarely buy clothing because i don't trust the photos and sizes.

I shop on-line, but only on well known sites, such as Amazon.

With e-Bay I had problem with registration, but it turned out to be great as well.

ByAGift is good, too.

So, use only secure (well known) sites and those that have PayPal option, because they can't get your account information.

Online shopping has been proved to be more secure than anything, it is much safer than you give the credit card for the clerks to swipe. I try this one http://www.savezillas.com it provides many good coupons for lots of stores like macys, walmart, office depot, footlocker, dell for anything from ipod, laptop, halloween, shoes, perfumes...So, I save more.
