Recent trends have shown crap like this will make it go higher. Seems like lately investors like the idea of investing more instead of pulling out all their stock when an enemy uses tactics and such to fear monger us.

Forgot what the last event was but I recall it putting the stock market in a record high. We don't get many resources from N. Korea so we will be fine. At least until we go to war with them which will happen eventually.

and Moonfairy please act your age. Bush has nothing to do with Bush or Bush's Daddy. It has to due with the tensions between them and the international community (mainly the south). This does not mean BUSH screwed up again. I think Bush is holding back to much this time around and this is thanks to people like you! It will bite us in the *** (holding back that is).

Imagine you own a Plasma TV Screen Factory. News comes that North Korea may be planning an invasion. What do you think all your workers are going to do?

Will they:
A: Come to work, happy to be alive and ready to build high quality television sets?
B: Rush to their families and supermarkets to stock up on food, supplies, or report to their military posts?

Of course the answer is B. The political situation in Korea has increased the likelihood the scenario I just described could become deadly real. Since there is an increased risk of loss, investors will be less inclined to invest their money in Korean companies like LG and more likely to sell to reduce their risks, which reduces stock prices.

The stock market seems to go down each time someone of any political importance sneezes.

I have no doubt it will go down when it opens later today.
