This advice is to help keep you out of trouble. Please take it in that spirit.

If it is a WORK truck and your company does not receive a report signal in a predetermined amount of time it is (You are) automatically reported as Missing. You could of had a serious accident and the GPS transponder is broken. They will be sending help, (POLICE) to your last known reported location looking for you.

Even if you have an old system and it does not report back. When you get back to the depo, IT WILL report all the locations you have been and when MISSING data is found they will send trackers next time.

I have seen and read about this before.

The best thing to do would be to find the unit, trace the electric power supply wire back to the fuse block, blow the fuse, and nobody's the wiser.
