For which there is a pay or salary involved.
Is being a lawyer or politician, that bad.
And is being an ordinary working man with two jobs paying off a mortgage with a wife and kids the highest respected as compared against a surgeon or engineer?
A friend of mine is a lawyer and is out of work and nobody feels sorry for him?...lol

from what i have personally seen,
all professions get alot of both criticism and respect depending on who is talking about them.
for example, a policeman, some (usually the ones who are getting in trouble all the time) say that policemen are just donut eating power trippers who dont know how to do there job. Others, will greatly appreciate the protection they provide us with and see it an honourable profession to endanger ones life daily on behalf of the community.
a pastor of a church. Some will say they are just money sucking jesus freaks with no real substance, brainwashers who only want an easy cashflow. Others will say that they have never recieved such good advice in time of need than the advice of a pastor, would recommend them far above any councellor, and they thank God that they have such a good person to learn the word of God from and recieve there weeky inspiration/hope and revalation from. To some, there pastor is what keeps them going (with God).
You could go through every profession like that. it depends on the critic.
I for one try to respect all career choices.
next time you go to a public toilet and the cleaner is just finishing up cleaning it, try saying "thankyou, i appreciate you, look at how clean this place is, ur doing such a good job!" There jaws will drop and there spirit will be lifted. you will have made there day. Appreciate everyone.
