If you watch enough TV you'll see all races being depicted as mean. Although I know there are "black" Americans who are like that, I've never met one. All races have the "bad" element. The "black" Americans I know are intelligent, caring, coming from all walks of life just like everyone else. I wish when you see an American, one didn't instantly feel you had to qualify that he/she is a Black American, White American, Hispanic American, Chinese American, American Indian, etc.

Depending on what you're watching, from your question my answer is probably not. Most black Americans are not menacing and threatening. Unfortunately a lot of them are poor and live in poor neighborhoods. Most poor neighborhoods are full of harmless poor people. The violence in those areas are usually drug-related. Basically if you're not involved with drug-related crime it won't find you.

No, I sure don't think so. It's often fiction and characterization. Like, are all Australians hard partyin", beer drinking adventurists? I doubt it. Like someone else said, there are good and bad of every kind of people. Some of my best friends are black and they are WAY nicer and better citizens than a lot of my "white" friends.

TV's don't show them as mean! They show them as good. Usually as judges, executives, and other highly respected people. So I don't even think this question is right to begin with.

But I get your drift of your question. And stop calling them this bs "african american" crap, they're "american", that's it. Some are mean and some are not. Some are beyond mean. Some are the devil himself. But so are white people. Excuse me, "white-americans" people. How you like the sound of that? Whole thing pretty stupid isn't it.

What do you mean. Please tell us exactly what you're getting at???? If you're talking about negative things you see on television...NO, NO, NO....we are not all that way. There are good and bad things about a lot of people. The media seems to focus on the negative things most times to get good ratings.

This is racial sterotyping. It shouldn't appear in the 21st century.

Not all blacks can play basketball.
Not all blacks can rap.
Not all blacks are criminals, just that they happened to be impoverished in their crime infested neighborhoods.

I'm asian i have couple of black friends in california. they're really chilled out to kick it with.

*It all depends on the person. not the color.
