Has anyone had babies that weren't really that active in the last trimester of pregnacy? The reason that i ask is because it seems that the baby isn't really that active as he use to be before i turned 35 weeks. No smart comments, and please only answer if u have been pregnant

i found with both of my pregnancies that bubs didnt move around much in the last few weeks.....my gyno told me and its logical really.....as they grow bigger there is less and less room for them to really move around.......if you are concerned at any time drink some icy icy water....bubs will react to it......good luck with the birth and the many years ahead

My little guy wasn't very active at all. I also had the placenta in front, so it muffled a lot of movement. I worried a lot about it, but it turned out just fine. Towards the end, I didn't feel much of anything except pressure and hiccups every couple days:) If your baby has "dropped," you will also feel a lot less since his head will be in a fixed position and he'll no longer be able to roll around. (I say "he" just for ease of typing.)

You can also have your partner listen to your belly for his heartbeat, which you can often hear. Also, try lying still with your tummy almost submerged in the tub. You can watch the water ripple with movements so small that you can't see or feel them otherwise. Kind of fun, too!

I hope this helps. Try not to worry too much!

After 35 weeks the baby is in pretty confined space.. Most babys move less and less as your due date aproaches due to the lack space and babys seem to know there is alot of work ahead in being born and seem to rest up for it... Each and everyone of my three became very quiet toward the end of the pregnancy moving almost none in the last few weeks as if they were resting up for the marathon that is being born...

If you are really concerned go to your dr. and have an ultrasound it will put your mind at ease... Don't be embarrassed ob/gyn's understand mother's jitters and nerves and will be happy to put your mind at ease...

at 35 weeks you should still feel the baby move on occasion your OB/GYN should have told you about kick counts I believe it's a small number of kicks (like 3-5) every hour to hour and 15 min. if it's not exact don't panic. try moving your belly around but keep in mind that the baby does need to sleep. if it's night time and that 's when you normally sleep the baby might be sleeping too. at this point in your pregnancy you should be seeing your MD every week ask them on your next visit. One thing I noticed with my pregnancy was that if I went swimming my baby moved more cause the water took the gravity off of her and she could move around more in the tight spot. Don't worry too much at 36-37wks it's safer to deliver your baby Ideally doc's will try to get you to make it to at least 38 wks but I've seen many babies born just fine at 36wks or later (I worked in a nursery for a little over a year).... Enjoy your pregnancy and don't stress out too much cause baby can feel it too

No, you should be feeling your baby regularly- especially during the last trimester. If you don't, it could be signs of something serious (like the umbilical cord around its neck).
If you haven't felt movement in an hour or more, have something sweet to drink to see if your baby just needed a sugar rush. If nothing happens, jiggle your belly a bit with your hand (my doc did this when trying to get some movement) to wake baby up if he/she's asleep.
If you still get no response, get to a hospital ASAP. There could be something wrong.

I found that towards the end of my pregnancy my baby didn't move as much as before because obviously the space becomes very limited in there but my baby never stopped moving completely. IF you are concerned rather see your doctor just to make sure that everything is ok with your son.
