In our technologically addicted society, people of all age groups are turning to libraries not for the stories and informational texts of old, but for the internet provided there. Since the vast majority of people in california would prefer internet terminals over books, should they simply get rid of the books and usher in a new era of the information super highway?

Nothing like laying back on a lazy day reading a good book!


But people do still research using books... There is something more concrete about the information found in books


Which lawyer would do all their research online and not go to a library and study the books ?

Absolutely not. I love to read books. Yes, you can find vast amounts of information on the internet, but that's not a library's main funtion, it's the repository of literature. Literature is a wonderful thing and it would be a mistake not to make it available to everybody.

Certainly not!!!, books have always been around, just look at all the magnificent Librarys there are in this world, books are personal, computers are for lazy people. Books awaken your imagination.
