that is a pretty tough question. it will depend according to individual tastes and likings. but my all time favourite is warcraft 3 : reign of chaos. sure there is command and conquer, age of empires, but those games do not have a great storyline/gameplay value. so warcraft 3 is your best bet and besides, it is also played in professional tournaments.
