all along the christian right and most churches have openly promoted the republican party as being morally superior to the democrats. now with the party openly supporting a known gay pedophile where is the poutrage that was expressed by the christian right over the clinton sex scandal??? which is less morale and sinfull. adultry or homosexuality and perversion with a minor??? as a christain myselt that is a registered independent. i believe that god is speaking to all christians that s time you stood up annd realized that politics and religion mix like oil and water. jesus was not a politician, but it was polititians that cruxified him and salivated over his demise. time for a gut check christians tiem to leave your politics home an speak out about what is happening to our country by these immoral, corrupt people in charge. we will be judged harsely if we dont force change soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What color is the sky in your world, purple? Nobody in the Republican party is supporting a pedophile. They might not be openly condemning Foley until all the facts are worked out, but no one is saying "Who cares if he did talk trash to a young boy, it's all good." If you can find me any evidence that the Republican National Committee has made a public statement supporting pedophilia, then I will apologize for thinking you are a complete idiot. Of course, you can't find any such proof, because none exists, because they have never made such a claim.

As far as ranking sins goes, who are any of us to even believe we have the power to say what sins are worse than others. I'm not a religious person at all, but you claim to be. Who gave you the power to say "which is less morale and sinful. adultery or homosexuality and perversion with a minor???" Only one of those is one of the ten commandments, but I would think an all powerful God would take all acts against His word as equally disgraceful.

How are you, and all the other liberal morons, going to take one man's disease and place the whole Republican party under the same umbrella? Why do you make it seem that only Republicans are the ones in office who do anything wrong?

I do agree with you that it is time for ALL POLITICIANS to be held accountable, but this should not be directed at any one party.

You are a liar and you ought to be ashamed. How is the party "openly supporting" Mark Foley? Name me ONE PERSON who didn't support his resignation (besides those closest to him who're in denial).

You can bet your bottom dollar that if the Republicans lose by a wide margin next month, it'll be because the CHRISTIAN Republicans stayed home! I don't know one Christian voter, Democrat OR Republican, who isn't upset over this.

We will be judged harshly if we don't force change? CHANGE? What kind of change are we talking about? A change engineered by the Democrats, the party that supports virtually everything that Jesus warned us about, including the murder of American children through abortion? And supporting THAT kind of immorality is gonna make God happier than supporting the Republicans? Why trade the witch for the devil? Makes no sense.

Oh, and the Dems have little room to lecture Republicans when most of them support the ACLU and Planned Parenthood, both of which have done their part in protecting pedophiles.

o.k. teejay....you're over-doing it a little...you come off sounding like those whom you criticize. I understand your point, and it has much validity....yet you are pouring it on a little too thick in the religious zealot thing. Not to offend you or any christian....but the Muslim extremists also claim "God(Allah)" is 'Speaking' to them too...Bush claims the same....you come off sounding as though you are the only one right...everyone else wrong.....are you sure you're not a christian republican?
