[it only takes a personal av annual profit rate of 36% to turn the 5 million he started with into the 50+ billion he has, 30 years later - ie, the 30th root of 10,000 is 1.36] - and there are many microsoft millionaires - ie, the total costs of making microsoft ware may be as little as a 1/4 of price

Your argument that Bill gets his money "IN RETURN FOR NOTHING" is flawed...,

He did his hard-work.. marketing is hard work too.. coming up with new ideas is hard work too... and he made the company Microsoft what it is now.. now he is reaping the benefits of his work.

You say that "it only takes a person an annual profit rate of 36%" to turn into a billionaire.. But can YOU invest your money somewhere, and maintain an average growth rate of 36% per year??? Its not as easy as it sounds... If everyone can make billions so "easily" as you put it, there wouldn't be any poor people..

Yes.. may be the poor man pays for all.. but he has the choice to take an initiative an move up in the social scale... Bill was a poor man too when he started off... But he made it big.. And it was not sheer luck that put him there...

The "poor man" also has a choice not to buy the product..

There is nothing called overcharging, when the so called "poor" people are willing to pay that money... When no one is willing to pay that much, prices will automatically drop... And for your information, companies do extensive research regarding what the price of their product should be, so that people are willing to buy it...

Now, instead of resenting the people who have the initiative to start companies and market their ideas, it would be much more productive if you had your own ideas, and could develop a competitive product for a much lesser price. Once you do that, everyone will listen to you when you call others as thieves... Till then, you'll just be an empty vessel making a lot of noise...

And I'm not any millionaire, or son of a millionaire who's saying this.. I belong to a regular "middle-class" background..

Making a profit does not = over charging people,
there is something called competition that keeps the prices of goods & services in check
2nd of all, Bill Gates has donated more money than any person on this ENTIRE PLANET and more than likely your computer is running the product of his life's labor - he worked his *** off for what he has & the WORLD has benefited 100 fold from it, besides that he's chosen to donate majority of his wealth to charity from agriculture to researching a cure for AIDS his foundation has made great strides in making this world a better place for everyone - your "question" is a unresearched opinion, Communism doesn't "distribute the wealth" it distributes poverty.

Your way of thinking is correct. Just like John "Cougar" Mellencamp said at a concert for the "New Orleans' disaster victims", he said, "If it wasn't for poor people then there would be no rich people".

The rich and the poor combined creates middle income jobs. Middle income workers are people that lives above the poverty line which affords them enough financial resources to go out and have some fun.

Your problem is a consistant misunderstanding of capital. Wealthy people tend to own more capital. Without capital, workers are totally unproductive.

If the market was driven by consumption alone, you may have a point, but the ownership of capital is central to ones understanding of capitalism. In many senses the original proverb is correct.

I like you're enthusiasm for justice, but you don't have the economic support for the statements you want to make.
