Are you somebody who is possessive of your brother or sister, to the extent that you didn't want the sibling to socialise much or have a romantic relationship for the fear that you might lose him or her? Or, are you a parent who feels that way about your son or daughter? Or, perhaps a child who feels that way about the parent, although I believe that this is mostly the case when the child is still very young.

I've never felt that way but I know there are people who do. I think it is a sign of an unstable individual who is unable to form normal attatchments to those they love. If they do feel this way it is pretty clear they need help.

I hope that you are the sibling. See person in your story have an emotional bond with others. This bond may become a bondage to others. There is merits also. Others will be 100% secured in him. Others can expect the wholeness of love. But in this modern days, others expect freedom (also trouble) so they dont want this type of security. This type of emotional relationships create problems in life. The most prey of this is - not others but that person himself. Because one day he realize that nobody is with him. Others do not have any emotional bond with him. If others have the courrage to accept that definetly can reape an unsurpassed feeling of true love.
But this type of emotional relationship with people or past incidents will give him chavoes. It will pull back him from progress. I have pity on him. He is poor man who fail to underatand the new generation. I also pity on "others".
But love him help him to come out of that.

Is anyone really that possessive over a family member? How would you even make sure they didn't do those things when you're not around. That is too much effort to keep someone around who may not want to be around.
