I do have an ovulation calendar and I do get really wet during the indicated dates but I do get wet during the rest and moreover I even make sex during my period. I don't want to use any ovulation kits but I wish to be sure I am ovulating each month. How can I know this? Don't say 14 or 15 days in every cycle because I've heard of people finding out that they are not ovulating even though they have their period...i'm kind of worried

Ovulation usually occurs about 14 days before a woman's period begins. So, if a woman has a regular 28-day menstrual cycle, ovulation may occur around day 14. But most young women have irregular cycles (each cycle may be a different number of days), and even women who have regular menstrual cycles may not always ovulate on the same day each month.

It is often very difficult for women to determine the day of ovulation in order to figure out when they are most at risk for pregnancy. It takes a minimum of 6-12 months of training and record keeping with professional guidance before a couple can try to predict ovulation in order to prevent pregnancy.

Grown women who have learned to predict ovulation may chart fertility by measuring changes in body temperature and cervical mucus, as well as keeping track of menstrual cycles.

Are you afraid you may not be able to have children? Are you trying to make sure an egg is being released every month? As long as your periods are regular, you are most likely ovulating.

There are two ways to check - take your temp every single morning before you get out of bed. Your temp will change slightly (by half or 1 degree) on the days you are ovulating.

The other way to tell, which is how I know, is actually feeling the egg being released. This happens about 14 days after the first day of your period, and feels like tiny, quick cramps on the left or right side of your abdomen. You may feel it a few times over one or two days. And because the ovaries take turns, you'll feel it on the left side one month and the right side the next. It's pretty cool. The medical term for these little cramps are middleschmertz.

well as you know it is normally those particular days but everybody is different so you can normally tell by you will get hotter on the few days your ovulating, so maybe a thermometer would be a good investment if you don't want to get the kits. Maybe you should see your doctor if your really worried because if your not ovulating you could have cysts or something blocking the eggs from been released.

Good luck

The only way to really know for sure is with the use of an ovulation kit. But if you don't want to use one, you will just have to be satisfied with not knowing.

the only way to know for sure for sure is to go to the Dr and get an intervaginal ultrasound. It's horrible...but if you are trying to get pregnant it is a very nice thing to know.
