I need to know how to mute my videos on the PC and add my own music? I can do this on my mobile phone so surely I can on the PC?

like all said above, you must use Windows media player
(it is free if u r using XP).
when edtiting, you click on the small icon (far left side on mnu icons bar above the show story board )
then you can make zero volume for "audio from video" option.
then you go to "Import audio or music" command, find your music file from a directory, then open,
then you can drag it onto the sound track below.
you can then adjust volume of audio(music) by cursor.
Try...and see.

Go to Microsofts site and download Windows Movie Maker....it's free.
Follow the instructions/ tutorial....it's really good.

windows movie maker you can sample over the video with your sounds ,its in the tasks add audio
