No pun intended but anal sex isn't all it's cracked-up to be. Porn makes it look more erotic than it really is. A good anal scene looks really hot, but in real life... ehhh. I have tried it in the past, but I really didn't care for it. This is a personal choice.
Doing anal isn't for everyone. If you have the stigma of it being 'nasty' or some other hang-up; mentally you're going to be resistant. This resistance leads to apprehension, which is going to make you very uncomfortable, uptight & fearful. I think that you're trying to relax but can't and aren't comfortable with the act itself. Any sexual act is a physical, but anal sex takes a special frame of mind and I can see that you are wanting to please your husband.
I'm curious as to how much time he takes on foreplay to prepare you. Do you have any toys especially for this? If not you should. A toy or two and some good lubrication will help out a lot. Anal sex should be pleasureable for both involved.
Experiment a little. If after some time you're still having problems, limit his access and keep this one area for something 'special'.

My husband has been wanting me to try this for awhile now. I just can't wrap my head around it. I know it's gonna hurt and I just flat don't want to. He pushes, but not too hard. He will never force me or make me do something that I'm not comfortable with. If I were you honey, if you hate it, tell him you hate it and don't do it anymore. There are a lot of other things to do.
I don't understand why they want to do it that way!

Did you let your husband know about this. If you haven't yet, then I suggest you should. I guess men get bored doing same thing again and again so they want something different every now and then.But if you don't like it then you should let your husband know about it and I am sure if he loves you very much then he will not insist upon it.

Tell him you don't care for it... it makes you too sore. Tell him you will only do it occassionally like on special occassions. After all, it is your body and health.

The fascination is because it's shown in porn so much that guys want to try it. It's also a domination thing.
You should let him know that you no longer wish to do this because it hurts. If he insists, tell him you'll do it if you can use a strap-on or dildo in his anus and see his reaction.

You should not allow your husband to do this to you. No exceptions. Do you want to have normal sexual intercourse after doing this? It doesn't matter if he uses an entire bar of soap, when he's showering. He is exposing himself to harmful bacteria and you to abuse that could damage your anus. The human butt is an EXIT, NOT AN ENTRANCE.

He should respect your choice to say no to anal sex.
